Men's Health Event Details & Registration
On Saturday, September 24, 2016, MIU Men’s Health Foundation hosts the sixth annual Men’s Health Event at Ford Field from 9AM-3PM. This FREE event provides men a better understanding of how to stay healthy, free health screenings to assess their current health, and information about advances in healthcare.
The event also provides free flu shots, free haircuts, “Ask a Healthcare Expert” and “Ask a Pharmacist” booths, raffle prizes, health and sport displays, fitness activities, guest speakers and more! Fitness activities include a self-paced 5K run/walk, kids fitness clinics led by Detroit Body Garage, yoga classes including kids and partner yoga led by Detroit Community Yoga, a full body weight workout led by Jody Trierweiler, from Jody's FitLive on Comcast and Detroit Lions Football Drills from 10AM to 3PM.
Special guests include the Former Detroit Lions Kicker, Eddie Murray who will be signing autographs from 11AM to 12PM, Roary and the Detroit Lions Cheerleaders!

Men's Health Event will be offering a hereditary cancer screening for free to both men and women who attend the event through MyGenetics Tree, a simple online family history tool. During the event, representatives from MyGenetics Tree will be available as you enter your personal and family history into this online tool to better understand your cancer risks. You will receive a personalized report with your personal and family history that can identify individuals who meet national guidelines for genetic testing for some hereditary cancer conditions. Knowing if you carry a change in a hereditary cancer gene can help your healthcare provider determine the most appropriate medical management for you.

Community Conversation on Prostate Cancer
Bayer Healthcare presents A Community Conversation on Prostate Cancer with Us Too International at Men's Health Event 20XVI! This open discussion forum provides an overview on prostate cancer and informed decision making for testing, active surveillance, treatment options for all phases of prostate cancer from newly diagnosed to advanced, and management of side effects.
