MIU Men’s Health Foundation is dedicated to supporting men’s survivorship, embracing their dedication to choosing to know about their health and their choice to “Fight Like A Man” to protect it. To achieve these goals, MIU Men’s Health Foundation has introduced Fight Like A Man International, Blue Monday, The Blue Fund, a quarterly Prostate Cancer Surviorship Series and its signature events, Run for the Ribbon and Men’s Health Event

MIU Men’s Health Foundation Overview
MIU Men’s Health Foundation (MHF) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to men's health advocacy and the awareness, education, research and treatment of prostate cancer and men's health related issues. The Foundation organizes several annual events, support functions and educational seminars that serve thousands of men and their families. Key events and activities include Blue MondayThe Blue Fund, our quarterly Prostate Cancer Survivorship Series, Run for the Ribbon, Cogs & Kegs and the Men’s Health Event.

Since our inception in 2009, we have continued to grow to a point where we are now in need of a Development Corrdinator that can both manage the established organizational activities and events while implementing a strategy for the future growth of the MHF. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a passion for the Foundation’s mission of improving men’s health.

Responsibilities:
Leadership & Strategy Planning

·       Plan, execute and manage all MHF activities

·       Implement strategic plans, based on data-driven analytics, projections and financials

·       Lead board meetings, volunteer meetings and committee meetings

·       Oversee all operations and manage all administrative responsibilities of the Foundation

·       Develop and distribute the annual report

·       Ensure that the Foundation is in compliance with relevant state and federal laws, regulations and with standard accounting procedures

·       Recruit, coordinate and lead teams of volunteers

·       Ensure effective systems to track and evaluate program components for effectiveness

·       Perform strategic planning to ensure that the MHF fulfills its mission into the future

·       Assist with grant opportunities

·       Develop local and national relationships that that will enable the MHF to replicate its success and expand to a national level

·       Develop strategies for promoting the unique multi year data gathered by the MHF on urban men’s health for use by other organizations

Marketing & Communications

·       Promote the MHF mission to potential sponsors, media and community groups

·       Manage social media, the MHF website and internal online knowledge repository

·       Develop and maintain relationships with donors, community organizations and businesses

·       Manage donor contact information and communications

·       Coordinate all media activities

·       Develop and manage all marketing and social media plans and activities

Financial Management

·       Manage all financials for the Foundation including budgeting, auditing and reporting

·       Develop a growth plan and targets to generate additional revenue for the MHF

·       Assist with grant and sponsor proposals/applications for funding and reporting

·       Secure financial support from individuals, foundations and corporations to meet growth target

Key Credentials and Personal Qualities

·       Bachelor’s Degree (Master's preferred) in Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, Finance, Economics or equivalent. Will consider other majors with relevant experience

·       5+ years successful leadership experience at a social impact organization

·       Operational excellence

·       Commitment to results; 'can-do" mindset with emphasis on accountability

·       Excellent communication and presentation skills

·       Passion for the Foundation’s mission of improving men’s health

·       Proven fundraising experience

·       Knowledge of grant writing and management

·       Sponsorship development and relationship management

·       Knowledge of database management, website management and social media management

·       Ability to work with a diverse population that includes homeless clientele, corporate senior executives, volunteers, vendors, media personnel and senior medical professionals

·       Strong marketing, public relations, and fundraising experience

·       Self directed, action-oriented, entrepreneurial, adaptable, and innovative
